Sometimes I think I’m pretty cool.
Then I wonder if I’m the only one who thinks I’m cool.
Oh god what if I’m not cool
And then I think, “Pfffffft. That’s dumb. I’m awesome!”
You should try that. Cuz it’s true.
After a long absence, Hollywood screenwriter and Friend of Venture Todd Alcott is back at his old game of analyzing episodes of The Venture Bros., and, completist that he is, he’s hell-bent on catching up with everything he missed. Starting with, weirdly enough, 2003’s pilot episode, “The Terrible Secret of Turtle Bay.” Check out his website HERE.

The real reason I was so excited to get Wiccan finished.
SO I COULD BE MY OWN GAY JEWISH TWIN BROTHER.(This is just a WIP screenshot, but still. Trying to figure out how to do superspeed and magic effects).
Dammit Kid, stop it. STOP IT.
A while back I made this sweet light-up katana for a Psylocke cosplayer (Melanie Bolen). It was so awesome I didn’t want to give it up, but she gave me money, so I had to.
Then she took some awesome pics with it, and I just found them, and here they are.
PROUDPANTS.

People being angry about ~dem gays~ on Target’s Facebook.
I just want to give my two cents on this and tell you a story.
A couple weeks ago, I was hired at Target. I have a job at Target. Not a big deal right?
It is a big deal because i’m a transman.
It doesn’t take a genius to conclude that it’s hard for me, my brothers, and sisters to get a job. There are legal restraints regarding the job and if you don’t pass, it’s hard to be taken seriously at a job interview.
Right on the application, it asks what your preferred name is. It also asks if there is anything that target should know. I put the fact that I am a transman, expecting not to get a call because usually when you put that down, people will throw out the application. I got TWO interviews.
At the interview, they asked me about it. I told them I am on hormones and they told me that they didn’t care. Not in the sense that they don’t emotionally care, but that it didn’t matter. I was male and that’s all that mattered. They also told me that they give sex same couples benefits in states that do not recognize them as a married couple.
At my job orientation, I was not misgendered once. Even my supervisors who weren’t sure of my gender avoided pronoun use, which I found only happens when you’ve had pronoun training. They gave me a name tag with my preferred name and didn’t ask questions. I felt safe and respected, which is huge for a trans* person.
TLDR: Target is amazing not just for the LGB, but also the T. Shop there for the rest of your life.
Christians claiming to be oppressed by homosexuals is simultaneously one of the saddest and most hilarious things in the universe.
^^
I love target so much.
Thank you, Target. Now I feel justified in spending all of my money at your stores.
…but they were one of the largest contributors to the Prop 8 campaign in California (to BAN gay marriage). Did they pull a 180? Or is this a brilliant cover campaign?
They didn’t http://pressroom.target.com/news/8-6-statement
Huh.
And a quick google search turns up several other corroborating articles showing that Target, as a corporation, made no donations to the campaign or its financiers.
Amazing how bad info like that sticks around.
I STAND CORRECTED.
This weekend has some exciting things in store for Sweethearts! We will be assembling at Big Wow ComicFest in San Jose the 18th and 19th. Our stars Kit Quinn, Tallest Silver, and Megan Alyse will be hosting a panel along with our director Dexter Adriano and our…
